We're pleased to announce the release of PAWS version 8. Key enhancements include:

• Dashboard with dynamic graphical reporting
• Better integration with MS Office documents
• Extensions to the Web Audit module
• Improved Web Module interfaces for business users
• Advanced filtering when retrieving risks and controls from the library

User Conferences

You can find out more about PAWS v8 by attending one of the Pentana annual User Conferences. This year's conferences will be held in London on 25 September 2009 and in Philadelphia on 15 October 2009.

New IT Audit Libraries

To coincide with the v8 release, our PAWS CobIT library has been updated to the latest version of CobIT. This will be sent to all existing PAWS CobIT library users free of charge and is available as a chargeable option to all other PAWS users.
While CobIT covers standard processes, risks and controls, we now also offer IT Audit Libraries that address specific environments such as Unix, Windows, Oracle and (coming soon) SQL Server.
These test libraries include scripts that can be run to produce reports of the information needed for audit. We are also now able to provide IT audit expertise on a consulting basis, to help conduct IT audits or make best use of the IT Audit Libraries.
